About the school
Educational complex "Or-Avner" in Kamenskoye consists of the kindergarden, elementary and secondary school. The total number of pupils is 60 children from 2 to 17 years old. The educational program includes the requirements of the state standard, and is also supplemented by the study of Hebrew, the history and traditions of the Jewish people, and additional hours of English. Graduates of the educational complex successfully enter state universities, as well as educational institutions worldwide, including Israel.The material and technical base of the educational institution meets the requirements of the present, which is important for achieving high results in the education of Jewish children.
About the community
Kamenskoye (in the Soviet period, the city was called Dneprodzerzhinsk) is an industrial city near Dnipro (which is the capital city of the region). The Jewish community of the city of Kamenskoye resumed its active life with the arrival in the city in 2001 of Rabbi Levi Stambler and his wife, Rabanit Dina Stambler. Soon a Jewish school was opened in the city. At the moment, the community has more than three hundred active members. The greatest attention in community projects is given to children and the elderly. In the community of the city of Kamenskoye, there are social and educational projects, medical assistance and support are provided to people who need it. All institutions of the community are located under a common roof, in a hospitable community center – a unique building including the Synagogue, which was not only built by analogy with the famous residence 770, but is also located on the street that bears the name of the Lubavitcher Rebbe
