Computer class in "Or Avner and Chana" Jewish school
The school "Or Avner and Chana" in Tbilisi (Georgia) has been considered one of the flagships of Jewish education in the countries of the former USSR and beyond for several years. The school pays great attention to Jewish studies - the teaching staff of this school has created the world's only complete set of textbooks on Jewish tradition and history in Georgian!
The school in Tbilisi is also one of the first Jewish schools that made a comple switch to a digital platform for communication between teachers and parents, and introduced a personal online account for each teacher and student. Today there are108 students in school.
In addition to Jewish studies and communication with participants, the school administration pays great attention to teaching critical disciplines in the modern world: mathematics, English, computer science. Informatics is taught with the support of the Israeli high-tech company WEBIZ.
The WEBIZ company helped with the education and training of teachers for the school, today computer science is taught by Mr. David Nodadze - a talented programmer, a lecturer at the Tbilisi Technological University, in charge of robotics and programming research at the European School, director of youth education in the Tbilisi technological incubator - TechnoPark.Thanks to him, there is a successful collaboration with the technology incubator.
With the beginning of the academic year 5782, the computer class in Tbilisi was renovated and refurbished thanks to the support of the Yael Foundation, within the framework of a special grant timed to coincide with the beginning of the academic year.
